We prioritize safety and inclusivity, striving to create an accessible event for all attendees. As we navigate the complexities of organizing an event in a public place while considering the diverse needs of the LGBTQIA2S+ community and its intersections, we value continuous learning and appreciate any feedback or suggestions for future improvement.
Malden Pride in the Park Senior Center will take place indoors.. Masks will be required before lunchtime, and designated mask zones will be available after the speakers' program. We strongly encourage everyone to wear masks whenever possible, as it contributes to the safety of all attendees. Masks can be obtained at the Volunteer station.
*** IF YOU FEEL UNWELL, TEST POSITIVE FOR COVID-19, OR HAVE RECENT EXPOSURE, WE ASK THAT YOU STAY HOME ***
Interpretation for the Speakers’ program will be available in ASL, 普通话, y español. The program and other activities will also be livestreamed on YouTube for those unable to join us in person.
At Malden Pride Coalition, we place a special emphasis on fostering a sense of community among families and across generations. To cater to this, there will be a designated children's area where younger participants can enjoy activities throughout the day. Additionally, complimentary lunch will be provided, and shaded seating areas will be available.
While the event takes place in a public place, we recognize that some individuals may have concerns about being publicly associated with LGBTQIA2S+ events due to safety reasons. We kindly request that consent be obtained from all individuals involved before taking any photographs. Moreover, UMA will be filming intermittently throughout the day. If you prefer not to appear in any published materials, please inform a UMA representative so they can ensure you are not filmed.
